Air Products pioneered the “on-site” concept of producing and selling industrial gases in 1940. That revolutionary idea not only launched our company, it launched the industrial gas industry we know today.
Since then, we have built a reputation for our innovative culture, operational excellence, and commitment to safety and the environment. Tomorrow’s challenges demand diverse thinking, applications and mega-project expertise, and a collaborative spirit. Our passionate and talented employees are rising to this challenge every day by creating innovative solutions that benefit our customers and our world.

Leader in hydrogen fueling infrastructure and leading developer of hydrogen energy services and equipment.
Global leader providing best-in-class LNG technology, equipment and services.
Pioneer in air separation technology with unparalleled experience in designing, engineering, constructing and operating cost-effective gas supply systems.
Leading provider of carbon monoxide and syngas supply and technology solutions.
Pioneer in gas membrane separation for commercial use with early projects commissioned in 1977 and full-scale commercialization in 1979.
Our team is continuously proving its ability to execute the largest and most complex projects in the history of Air Products, successfully completing megaprojects around the world with a strong focus on safety and performance.
Over the past year, we achieved a critical milestone at our Jazan, Saudi Arabia air separation unit complex, where the team achieved 25 million man-hours worked without a lost time injury. We also completed the first year of operation of a large industrial gas complex for the BPCL refinery in Kochi, India, a complex that took 10 million work hours to build and where we also had zero safety incidents.
In addition, we successfully started-up the Lu'an air separation unit and gasifier joint venture in China, which is supplying syngas to Lu'an for their chemical production, and we opened a new world-class steam methane reformer in Baytown, Texas that provides carbon monoxide and hydrogen to Covestro and other customers along our U.S. Gulf Coast pipeline network.
One of the basic tenets of Air Products’ 4S philosophy is Speed. Our state-of-the-art engineering, technology and manufacturing centers, strategically located in emerging markets around the world, enable us to act with speed and to be innovative in response to our customers’ needs.

Our one-of-a-kind helium production facility located in Doe Canyon, Colorado, uses cutting edge technology, combined with world-class operations, to extract and produce helium. Air Products extracts the helium from the gas stream and returns the carbon dioxide to Kinder Morgan CO2 for its intended enhanced oil recovery (EOR) use. Kinder Morgan CO2 supplies this carbon dioxide to the Permian Basin in West Texas, where it is used for EOR.
Air Products' Doe Canyon helium production facility is the only plant in the world extracting helium from a gas stream composed primarily of carbon dioxide. The helium from this facility strengthens and diversifies our helium supply chain to further enable the reliable delivery of product to our customers around the world.
The innovative use of data and technology is fundamental to our long-term competitiveness. We use them as an engine to drive safety, simplicity, speed and self-confidence, and to achieve our company goals. Here are just a few examples of how we are advancing the use of data and technology.
